Direct answer

In Laramie County, an applicant who was previously married must bring a divorce or death certificate. The Clerk publishes no time limit on how recent the divorce may be and does not say the copy must be certified. The state worksheet separately asks for the date, country and state of the divorce, or the date a spouse died, and for the applicant's current marital status.
